Responsibilities: Lester is in charge of all day-to-day aspects of fire alarm and safety such as designing fire alarm systems, engineering and code analysis, project management, retrofit surveys, testing, and service work.
Experience: Lester has a 30 plus year proven track record in the fire alarm industry. Prior to joining J.E. Richards in 2002, he held roles in both Truland Systems and Mona Electric as a field electrician, estimator, superintendent, division manager, and vice president.
His education comes from five years in the United States Navy, three years in vocational technical schools for electricity, numerous courses for different positions held and a lifetime career in the industry. He holds electrical journeyman licenses in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC, as well as being NICET certified.
Pride: Lester truly believes this is the best team he’s ever worked with. During his 12 years with J.E. Richards, he’s been involved on numerous high profile and technical projects such as Glenstone Museum, Canadian Embassy, MedImmune, and The Aerospace Corporation. He adds, “I’m looking forward to being part of this strong team for the next 15 years and more.”
Free time: Lester loves working on and driving his 1948 Chevy hot rod pickup truck and attending classic car shows. He also enjoys fishing, golf and crabbing, but it’s really his new wife (and best friend) that makes him feel whole and able to enjoy all of life’s pleasures.
