Tom Sewell


Responsibilities: Business operations, all accounting and financial matters, cash management, month end closing, financial reporting, and relevant tax issues. Tom also works closely with operations to monitor and provide information relevant to job costs and status.

Experience: Tom joined JE Richards in 2013. Previously, Tom established an extensive resume as a finance and operations leader with success driving profitability, operational & service excellence, and market leadership for domestic and international business. He possesses extensive finance, operations, information technology and administration experience in a variety of industries and organizations.

Background: Tom’s previous positions include: general manager for Warner Wallcoverings, a Division of RJF International; vice president for finance and operations for Chesapeake Wallcoverings Corporation; and senior information technology project manager with Lockheed Martin. Tom began his career as an officer in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers where he was Commander of a Combat Engineer Company.

Tom earned a B.S. Degree in Physical Science from the University of Maryland and an M.A. Degree in Business Administration from Webster University. Additionally, Tom has taken coursework in Procurement and Contracts Management from the University of Virginia. While on the Lockheed Martin Corporate Headquarters staff, he attended the Lockheed Martin Institute.
