McPhee Electric performed all the electric, fire alarm, and low voltage provisional scope of work for the new laboratory space fit-up for Novartis Center for Continuous Manufacturing located at MIT’s Building No. 66. The project required demolition of existing areas and relocations of existing building infrastructure systems in occupied areas to prepare area for new fit-up. The project involved a retrofit of the existing substation and addition of a new 400 AF/200AT substation and new 800AF/200AT substation. McPhee installed emergency power and a UPS system, new circuit breakers tied to the existing switchboard, occupancy sensors, exit signs, wall switches, voice\data outlets, audio visual conduit, and a new fire alarm system.
